The Science Barge enjoyed a multitude of visitors in late June for the 4th Annual Floating Sculpture Competition. One such visitor was from WABC-TV’s blog, The Green Apple. He interviewed Bob Walters, the Science Barge Director, and several sculpture artists, including Jamie Korb, who organizes Art & Science Sundays on the Barge. Westchester magazine has just released its “Best of Westchester” guide for 2012, and once again, they’ve highlighted the Science Barge as a notable Westchester attraction. Voted “Best Science Experiment” in the Kids section, the Science Barge continues to draw families and schools to the Yonkers waterfront to learn about sustainable food and energy practices.
