Robert Grabel, Board Member
Robert works as the Regional Director of the American Heart Association in Fairfield County, CT. He spent a decade in retail banking before switching to the not-for-profit field, working at Volunteers of America and Turnaround for Children. He has also served on several local committees and boards in Yonkers, including the Leviticus Fund, a socially-responsive investment vehicle serving low-income neighborhoods. Robert exemplifies Groundwork’s advocacy of healthier lifestyles by being the fittest of all board members. He runs numerous marathons throughout the year, and has started Teens Run Yonkers, a program that helps youth set and reach their goals starting with running. Robert attended Temple University and received an master’s degree in Urban Policy from the Milano School of New School University.
