Before joining Groundwork Hudson Valley in 2002, Anne was the Director of Friends of Wildcliff Greenhouse, Inc., and acted as landscape consultant to the City of New Rochelle. From 1992-97, Anne wrote a monthly gardening article for Tomorrow magazine.
As Groundwork Hudson Valley’s Assistant Director of Land Programs, Anne has created community and school gardens out of vacant lots and teaches indoor and outdoor gardening programs with senior centers, intergenerational groups and several schools in Yonkers and Mount Vernon. She recently helped to create a pollinator garden at School 13 in Yonkers, to be used as an outdoor classroom, including an extensive teachers guide.
She works regularly to maintain the plantings in the daylighted Saw Mill River at Van der Donck Park. Anne has planted and continues to maintain over 40 planters in downtown Yonkers.
