After working as an Education Assistant onboard The Science Barge in 2009, Gwen is thrilled to be back on the Barge as the Director of Science Barge Education! Prior to coming to Groundwork Hudson Valley, she worked for over two years at Workforce Professionals Training Institute, a small not-for-profit organization in Manhattan. She has also held internships with the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and The Brevard Zoo in Melbourne, FL, and served in the Hunter College Graduate Student Association as both a Sustainability Advisor and as President. Gwen is currently completing her M.A. in Geography at CUNY Hunter College, with thesis research focusing on sustainable urban food systems in NYC.
