Cheryl Lamptey, Board Member

 

Cheryl Lamptey received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University- Cook College and had an early passion for social justice, where she did fundraising for the university-based NGO, Oxfam-Rutgers Chapter.  She has eleven years of experience working in the Biotechnology industry where she helped develop ophthalmology and oncology biologics. Concurrently, she received her Masters in Public Health from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where her master’s thesis discussed topics of healthy food access in New York City. Presently, she is a full-time doctoral student in Health Policy and Management at New York Medical College focusing on how heat vulnerability and social vulnerability interplay in Yonkers, NY to impact policies that can create Climate Safe Neighborhoods.
