Summer Lecture Series – Perspectives on Pollinators

August 22 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

with Gregory Wechgelaer

Gregory Wechgelaer is the Director of Education for Greenburgh Nature Center , as well as the resident bee-keeper. Join us to get the buzz on honeybees, butterflies, and hear about the Greenburgh Nature Center’s efforts to revitalize their meadow to support local, native pollinators as well as their domesticated honeybees. Then learn about Groundwork Hudson Valley’s efforts to introduce native plants along the Daylighting parks of the Saw Mill River and the new “Greenway” where the abandoned train line used to run from Van Cortland Park to downtown Yonkers. Hear perspectives from other local experts as well.
