Felipe Ramirez, Development and Communications Coordinator

Felipe was first introduced to Groundwork in 2014 as a college intern. While working as an intern, he worked on projects for the Science Barge, our River Programs and the office of Development. After graduating college, Felipe served as an educator at the New York Botanical Garden and then as a marine science educator/program coordinator at the NewFound Harbor Marine Institute located in the Florida Keys.  He now serves as the Development Coordinator and manages our press releases, social media outreach, and assist in fundraising. Felipe is passionate about environmentalism and enjoys writing. His articles have been featured in Tasmanian Geographic, The Geologic Society of America, The Journal of Archaeological Science, and local Yonkers publications.

Felipe holds a B.A is Geosciences from Hamilton College.
