« Return to album listGroundwork Green Teams at Gateway National Park On August 5, 2008 members of Groundwork Yonkers and Groundwork Elizabeth met at Floyd Bennett Field, part of Gateway National Park in Brooklyn, and were give a tour of the historic airplane hangar and control tower. The tour was followed by lunch and then a beach clean-up. Plastic, aluminum, and glass were separated and bagged to be recycled. All the effort put in at the clean-up was rewarded by a couple hours of beach time at Jacob Riis Beach!
