« Return to album listGoldman Sachs/Americorps Farragut Ave. Clean Up On May 16 (2008) Goldman Sachs employees, along with Americorps volunteers and Groundwork Yonkers staff, planted over 100 native trees and shrubs in the pouring rain at Farragut Avenue. You can see the “tree sleeves” (protecting saplings from the deer) from the South County Trailway and the Saw Mill River parkway. Lots of folks helped clear out invasive porcelain berry vines and multiflora shrubs to get ready for the plantings: Hastings High School Environmental Club, Ardsley High School students, Eagle Scouts, AmeriCorps NCCC, JTS Contracting, and LOTS of volunteer River RATz.
