Sophie Niesciur, Conservation & Community Outreach Fellow
Sophie Niesciur is our new Conservation and Community Outreach Fellow. She is one of four young leaders across the Groundwork network to receive this fellowship. Sophie joins us through a partnership with Groundwork Hudson Valley and the National Park Service’s Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) Program. Sophie will be working with us for the next year in developing and implementing community-led projects around access to parks, recreation, and the conservation of natural resources. Specifically, she will be helping out with our community engagement efforts around the Yonkers Greenway, the Saw Mill River, and our public education programming.
Sophie holds a B.A in Geography with a concentration in Environment and Resource Management from SUNY Binghamton University.
