Greenway Park Project a First Step to Erasing Yonkers Redlining. What it’ll Look Like.

The fight against the current effects of historical redlining in Southwest Yonkers could soon see another victory. U.S. Senate Majority Leader Charles E. Schumer delivered a press conference in our very own Smith O’Hara Levine Memorial Park this past Friday to show his support for the City of Yonkers’ $5.4 million proposal to the Department of Transportation’s Reconnecting Communities Pilot Program to close the funding gap on the $14 million Yonkers Greenway Project.
