Biggest Chauncey Park Native Tree Planting Yet!

Join us on 10/15/2022 from 10am to 2pm to plant native trees and shrubs along the Saw Mill River in Chauncey Park, Dobbs Ferry!
The Dobbs Ferry Conservation Advisory Board, along with Groundwork HV and other local volunteers have worked to make this incredible tree planting possible.
Planting trees and shrubs increases habitat for our native species. This contributes to the food web: native insects feed on native plants, birds eat the native insects and seeds, and birds distribute more seeds everywhere they go.
Tree plantings also increase the resiliency of our waterways to mitigate flooding in large storms. They control erosion, take up excess water, and create a buffer in larger storm events.
Planting trees is easy and fun for any age. We will provide tools and gloves. Just show up and do something wonderful for the earth and your community.
